Country Values

  • 4 min read

Country Cannabis was founded by a group of pioneers with a shared vision and a communal set of values that informs our thoughts, words, and actions. These ideals guide us through every decision we make for ourselves and for our company. We even go as far as to print our values on every package! Read on to learn more about the good stuff that Country is made of.

Lead by Example

If you want to inspire others and make a positive impact on the world, it's better to show than tell. As the author Ralph Waldo Emerson put it, "What you do speaks so loudly that I cannot hear what you say." So you sure as heck better do what you believe in!

When people see you roll up your sleeves and take action, they'll believe that they can do that too. And before you know it, you have a whole movement of people walking the walk with you.

For us at Country, leading by example means doing what we believe in without compromise. It means making joints of the highest quality -- the ones we like to smoke ourselves -- and investing in a vacuum-sealed jar that preserves them. It means partnering with growers and companies that share the values we cherish. And with our "productive weed" products, it means rewriting the narrative about cannabis to reflect the one we believe in.

Spark Productivity

At Country, we salute the "doers" of the world. Don't just talk about it, be about it! From the hard-working rancher to the creative musician, the world is filled with productive folks who are contributing to society. We value that input and want to do our part to help it along.

When you're staring at that blank canvas, you might need a jumpstart for your creative juices. Or when you're hard at work fixing that leaky roof, maybe you want to do it with a smile. And we know that sometimes when you’re hanging with friends you want to decompress and have a little fun.

By helping people of all walks of life win the day, we believe we're contributing to the greater good. Whatever you've got on your to-do list, Country wants to be the spark that motivates you to tackle it with all you've got. We believe in you!

Be a Good Neighbor

A good neighbor accepts your package deliveries when you're away, lends you their power drill when you need it, and always says hi when passing you by in the street. Good neighbors have deep respect for each other and the neighborhood.

At Country we extend that value of being a good neighbor to reflect larger ideals like supporting our community, being responsible with our environment, lending a helping hand where it's needed, and spreading positive energy to those around us. These values guide our interactions with members of our team, our partners, and of course our customers.

We believe in this value so much that we named our first product "Good Neighbor." We hope that whenever you see your neighbor you'll continue to smile -- and maybe even offer to share a Good Neighbor joint!

Celebrate Heritage

At Country we value celebrating our past because none of us would be here today without the hard work of those who came before us.

We believe in passing along rich family traditions while also keeping them updated with the times and learning from past missteps. If you are fortunate enough to have a family of many generations, take the time to learn your family history from the elders or tell it yourself to the youngsters. Sharing this heritage helps us shape our values and strengthen our communities.

That includes communities as large as our country, which has always been culturally diverse. It started with the numerous different indigenous peoples who lived here and continues on with waves of immigrants from all parts of the world. All of us benefit from understanding this rich American history.

Whether we're learning the stories of our families, our country, or even the cannabis industry, celebrating heritage is not just about respecting the past -- it also helps us forge our future.

Mi Casa Es Tu Casa

The Spanish phrase "Mi casa es tu casa" translates to "My house is your house" and it's what Country's founder used to hear from his nana every time he arrived at her ranch. This warm phrase is used to make someone feel comfortable and let them know that your door is always open for them.

At Country we believe in extending that welcoming vibe to everyone. You might think you're only making a small gesture, but a friendly smile at a neighbor or a joyfully inclusive bumper sticker on your car could boost someone's mood and make them feel safe and comfortable.

Whether we're welcoming immigrants from around the world, helping out an old friend who needs a place to crash, or showing the ropes to a cannabis newcomer, we want everyone to feel at home.

And in that spirit of welcoming, we thank you for taking an interest in Country and the ideals we represent. We invite you to join our community. Mi casa es tu casa.
